  1. Some great choices on your list, Irene. I LOVE girlfriend getaways. It seems no matter where you go, when you’re in the company of gal pals, all is well.

  2. The closest I’ve done to this was a 4 night cruise with my sisters. In some ways it felt like when we were little, driving across the country on a family road trip in the ’63 Chevy. It was always the 5 of us in one motel room with 2 double beds (I don’t think they did Queen size on highway motels). That left one sister too many for the beds. We would try starting out in one of the beds, but at ages 14, 12 and 9, one of us would always give up and end up sleeping on the floor. Since I was the worst sleeper and the oldest, that would be me. On the cruise ship, we made the 50-something “baby” take the top bunk 😉 The difficult middle child got her own bed and I got the bottom bunk.

  3. Great to see a Santa Fe hotel on the list. We actually plan girl-friend getaways for clients. It’s great fun picking the perfect hotel, restaurants and things to do for a group of friends (or family) getting away.

  4. Nice spots! I was just in Carmel a few weeks ago — what a great place for a getaway with girlfriends (or in this case, the hubby). The wine walk passport is a great deal and so much fun.
